Nothing Woolly About Jordan's Achievements

At his first attempt in competition with ‘the big boys’ Highland Perthshire's sheep shearing wizard, Jordan Smeaton, made it right the way through to the Open Final held in the Black Isle recently.
The picture shows him competing at that event (at centre) flanked by with the Scottish and British Isle’s Shearer of the Year, Hamish Mitchell and Una Cameron, one of the top woman shearers in in the world. Jordan wound up third out of the four finalists.

A week beforehand he had competed in Wales and ended up second in the British Isles’ Senior Shearer of the Year but at the Black Isle he went one better and won the Scottish Senior Shearer of the Year competition.
Earlier this year he scooped the Lochernhead Senior Championship; the All Ireland Senior Championship; the Glenarm Lamb Shearers Senior Championship and the Stafford Show Senior Championship.
