No Carping, Just Salmon

At a time when carping and complaining seem to be the order of the day, what a delight to read about the Inchewan Riparian Restoration project.

An idea, some determination and some lateral thinking by John Monteith followed by cooperation and help by many. SEPA, Transport Scotland, SNH, PKC, Scot Native Woods, FC, P&K Countryside Trust, Local Angling Assn, Atholl, Murthly and Strathbraan Estates, Tay Liaison Cttee, Tay Salmon Board all helped and a real change hopefully made.

No quick buck here but a sound basis for longer term improvement in the river. How about replicating the principle throughout the Tay catchment area, or are boating activities too big a problem upstream?
