Loch Tay Incident Log

At its AGM earlier this year and at each of its committee meetings, the Loch Tay Association (LTA) has heard its members complain of rubbish being left, trees being cut down and even builings taken apart to build fires, and abuse from some fishermen.
It was suggested that a log be kept of all such incidents affecting anyone living or working on or around Loch Tay. A copy of this would be sent regularly to the local police and the local councillors would be advised also. Serious incidents should still, of course, be reported to the local police.
Details of incidents causing concern should be sent to the secretary of the Association at the address below.
LTA was formed in 1979 from the former Loch Tay Water Users’ Association with the objective of providing a ‘broader’ and more representative Association which could look after all interests in, on and around Loch Tay. For many years now it has provided a Code of Conduct for Loch users, and this has recently been updated in the light of the new Access Code for the countryside. Copies can be obtained from the Secretary.

The Association’s objective is to harmonise the various uses of the Loch for the enjoyment, convenience and safety of all users with minimum disturbance to those people residing beside or close to the Loch, to the amenity of the area, to bird, fish and plant life.
Membership currently stands at just over 100 and is open to riparian owners, individuals living within the watersheds of the Loch, commercial businesses and other local groups. Details of membership and further information on the incident log and Code of Conduct can be obtained from The Secretary, Loch Tay Association, Offizone, Kenmore Street, Aberfeldy PH15 2BL or email sandie@wordwright.info.
