Ponds, Park & Plantings on the Dun

Things are happening on Dun Coillich, the piece of Community land between B846, Glengoulandie and Schiehallion. Wetland area has been increased by new ponds. The newly finished Carpark provides safer access; the new stile will be in place shortly to link Dun Coillich with Schiehallion, and this is in addition to the kissing gates that already link Dun Coillich to Forestry Commission woods.

More trees are to be planted this year, helping both local biodiversity and contributing to carbon capture. In addition, there are plans for an observation facility this year.

If you are interested, then get along to The Mid Atholl Hall at Ballinluig on 24 March from 2.00pm; meet the Trustees, see the displays, hear Prof Martin Price speaking about how “Mountains Matter”, and have a chat over a glass of wine.
