WWF Office Visit by MSP
In mid March John Swinney MSP visited WWF Scotland in its new premises in Dunkeld.
Before WWF moved in, the office was renovated to make it more sustainable and now incorporates features such as sheep wool insulation and recycled carpet.
The local MSP toured the building and met with the staff involved in work on climate change to the freshwater and marine environment as well as rural development, education, transport and a project with Local Authorities on reducing their impact or 'footprint' on the planet.
Welcoming John Swinney, Dr Richard Dixon, Director of WWF Scotland (right) said: "Many of the issues that we are working on at WWF Scotland have direct relevance to the interests of constituents in this area and we value the support from their local representatives in our work. |

"One of the issues that we will discuss during this visit is how we can support sustainable development in the local communities, including proposals for a biomass installation in the new school at Breadalbane Academy. We look forward to continued work together."
The MSP added "The investment by WWF in creating such a fine working environment and sustainable development is very welcome and I am delighted this leading organisation is located in Dunkeld. We had a very helpful discussion on how to ensure the issues of concern to WWF are advanced in the political process."
